Turn Signals

Upgrading your turn signals is one of the cheapest and easiest upgrades to your motorcycle. All Harley-Davidsons use either a single or dual filament incandescent bulb for their turn signals. This is also true of most metric bikes as well. Upgrading your turn signals to LED has a lot of benefits. There are obvious safety advantages. First, by having brighter lights, other drivers are more likely to see you when you signal. And since many bikes have run/turn/brake lights on the rear, they are more likely to notice when you apply the brakes. LED lights also do a lot to improve the appearance and style of your motorcycle. LED lights are more durable and last longer than traditional bulbs. That may sound silly, but I had a bike that I was constantly having to replace the rear bulbs. It was caused by excessive vibration. I switched over to LED and haven't had an issue since.

When it comes to motorcycle lighting, Custom Dynamics is king of the hill. Founded in 2002, Custom Dynamics is an American company, founded and still based in North Carolina. They are known for great quality products, but what really sets them apart is customer service and their lifetime warranty on the LED and 5 year warranty on electrical components. Custom Dynamics specialize in motorcycle lighting. Many of the companies that offer lighting for motorcycles offer many other components. If you are like me, who you buy from is just as important as what you buy. You can't go wrong with Custom Dynamics.

I personally run Custom Dynamics ProBEAM LED Turn Signal Kit on my bike. I had mentioned earlier about my rear bulb that kept going out. That is what forced me, thankfully, to make the switch to LED and ProBEAM was an obvious choice. They use a unique reflector technology and quality LED's. The front turn signals have 24 LED's that form a halo ring. These are so bright, they actually work like fog lights for your motorcycle. When the turn signal is activated, the 12 center amber LEDs function turn signal. The rear work in a similar fashion. For the rear, there are 16 outer LEDs that operate as the running lights and 12 in the center for the flasher. They do a great job of increasing your visibility. Installing the ProBeam LEDs are very easy, as they are plug and play. Just make sure you check the fitment for your motorcycle.
